Very fast today.  Abel Tasman in 1:40 and change for the mile and a 1/16th.

When you run about a negative 3 or 4 the time figures to be fast.

Two things:

1-- Baffert.

2-- Velasquez is unbelievably bad these days. If there\'s any chance he can be the outside horse he\'s gonna take it. And that was from the RAIL.

Velazquez rides the rail to nab 2nd and a $33 exacta. Doesn\'t make up for his fails but now can\'t toss him with confidence.

It is a very fast track. Scraped. I bet a bunch of these are never the same again. NYRA wants a TC winner badly.
