Are racehorses getting faster?

Not this year. This is the weakest field I can remember. Some really slow horses have made it in. What’s up? Medication crackdown?

No Lasix.  I think the general rule-of-thumb was that Lasix meant a 2-point jump.  And then there\'s the \"supposed\" crackdown on EPO & stuff like that.
