Title: ROTW

I\'m not a big Turf devotee, but I like this race TGraph put up. Young fillies on the verge of moving forward. Like RHT, the race has potential even if Dickensons horse got in. Big field, tight turns. Several horses that with maturation could move right on up.

I\'ll have to look at it more closely.

Looks like a gorgeous day in Sunny South Florida. (About 78 degrees for a high) The P.P.\'s for the entries indicate the Turf course has been quick at Calder, (Certainly quicker than the dirt bog main track...lol), but yesterday the main was wet all day and the recent Turf times have not been so snappy, so I\'m looking forward to how the turf is graded, but whatever its grading I think theres gonna be more give to it, I\'m guessing \"Good\".

Mortgage the House - on second thought

Silver Something - This filly chased another the last time against these. That other is not here this time. TGraph has her about 8 lengths behind the \"contenders\". (ground loss factored) She\'s gonna save ground, my concern is can she finish? If the turf is quick like it has been, I could be tempted. She\'s gonna get dismissed. Shes a horse I\'ll consider bombing in with my favorite.

Dansetti Light - Running very well with problems. Velasquez in to atone. I think she\'ll be a short price, perhaps favored. She sure hasn\'t had much of a break, but she\'s given the impression of a turf horse and she likes to win. Also getting a five pound pull from Rich in Spirit. Has a good chance to reverse on that one.

Rich in Spirit - Certainly likes to win. Has found a way to get on top in large fields before. Shes a pro already, runs for any jockey, carries her track with her. Has won on three different circuits and all rated surfaces fm, gd, yl. She\'s obviously turf bred and could more forward on both maturity and a cleaner trip. I don\'t anticipate the cleaner trip and she concedes \"2 lengths on weight\" to at least one significant rival. I think she\'ll also move forward. Its a question of circumstances.

Brazilian - well she must look the part. The filly cost 500K -2yo in training. (Thats big donuts for a Stravinsky). I don\'t know how big she is, I\'m tempted to think \"amazon proportions\". Pletcher, what can you say? Is he being loyal to DeCarlo otherwise wouldn\'t Velasquez be here?  Solving this little riddle could determine cashing.

Stravinsky\'s Gal- You can make a case for almost any horse and this one is not outside the money in the best case scenario,  but I can\'t bet a trainer thats having trouble putting the right shoe on the right foot.

Dynamite Lass - Did Coa vacate Rich in Spirit (I meant Dansetta Light) for this one? What do you think?

Leona\'s Knight - Another with a board opportunity. It\'s a question of moving up on turf. Not likely, but not one to leave out of third and fourth if you think you have the winner.

Dynamist - Beat Brazilian head to head. Then caught a yielding surface and snared a good TFig on it. Dickenson on green too.

Helluva race

Well,

I needed The Dynaformer to get up and she was best, but thats horseracing on small ovals and thats why I\'m not a turf fanatic...lol It was a calculated loss though.

That was a pretty impressive Trop. Park Derby by Lord Robyn. The Turf course was glib, but I think he motored. I think David Fawkes won 3 on the card.

What about the late scratch? I went to the pick 3 with The Oaks last. When  Brazilian was scratched, Dansetta Light goes to 6/5.

The late scratch was interesting. I didn\'t factor Amazon as a major player. I think Velasquez would have been up otherwise. She had speed and might have kept Silver Something out of the money. With or without Amazon it wasn\'t meant to be for me. But I had Dynamite Lass first, the winner and third place horses second, the same in third and fourth along with Leona\'s Hope and Rich in Spirit.

We\'ll see down the road, she might be the top three year old turf filly, who knows.
