Wouldn\'t Baffert be inclined to run Too Much Bling in the Darby to set up Bob & John and Point Determined?

Or to try to win the race outright?

He would certainly compromise Brother Derek.

A la Danthebluegrassman, he may just enter him to block somebody low on the earnings list from getting in (assuming that Bling has enough earnings to block somebody).  If you think about it, if the owners are willing to help out, it is a great strategy for beating difficult opponents who may be light in earnings and reducing the size of the field (by scratching the blocking backs after the PP draw).  In fact, it could be worth the investment to pay the fees to nominate and enter they guys who finish 2nd - 5th in Dubai just to make it harder for other guys to get in the race without those horses ever leaving Dubai (or wherever they are now).  Same with Henny Hughes.  Just enter him, it doesnt matter where he is.  The owners might even be able to score a nice table on the day of the race for their $10,000 bucks.  Here is an interesting question -- do you have to own the horse to nominate and enter him?  What happens if a bystander just says I will put up the money to nominate and enter him?  The owner may say well I am not going and you get the same effect. For example, why can\'t Baffert put up the money to enter Stevie\'s Wonderboy?  Maybe there will be a miraculous cure at the last minute.  Should he be deprived of the right to enter?  In the end, he is entered, knocks out other horses and then is scratched.  Just imagine, we might have an 8 horse Kentucky Derby!

Why would he put a sprinter that has been brilliant so far into the Derby?? Makes no sense.

He\'ll stay sprinting, just like LITF last year, win lots of graded 3YO sprints and turn up in the BC Sprint.
