Title: The Track.....epilogue
Post by: spa on November 10, 2006, 10:59:14 AM
Is there anyone out there who still believes the rail wasn\'t cooked by the track crew? Mo thinks Brother Derek should have won using \"THE PATH!\" Brother Derek was short that day. The rail carried him a long way. Brother Derek runs again Dec.10th and will be dead fit.

Brother Derek was running without Bute at CD.

Cali horses by definition can\'t use Bute when they ship out of state; that doesn\'t imply they necessarily are bute-dependent for their best performance.

At two, BD shipped to NY and ran a four point new top without bute. Earlier this year, he shipped to CD and ran a new top without bute. Two weeks later he bounced after a performing a face plant into the gate and rushing into contention.

BD ran fast early fractions on a dying track Saturday, at a distance he has yet to prove he can run a Grade 1 winning performance against older, had Bernardini come into his path and earned a \"T\" symbol - and he \"paired\" his top.

Lava Man, on the other hand...there\'s a case for bute addiction.

MO saw BD 19 wide in the Derby and still finished 4th. MO saw 22-1 on an improving 3 yo on a golden rail, and so MO gambled. Shame on MO. Heh heh.

MO should have seen the name Dan Hendricks next to Trainer.

Good Luck,
Joe B.
