DoC is in. Have to wonder if Sanan/Pletcher ever seriously considered Behindatthebar a Derby horse, or just wanted Warren and Carroll to sweat it out and make some kind of deal.

At any rate, time to factor and scrutinize the pattern of a horse that is better than half of the field, at a minimum. CJ\'s workout is all the buzz, but DoC is training superbly on the CD surface.

He\'s not one of the ones I\'d toss from hitting the board pending post draw.
Ditto Eight Belles.

From my perspective, its hard to fathom this one running a new top. If he gets back to the 0 he might hit the board with a ground saving Borel ride. I can see him in the Super with a good trip.
There\'s a lot of deep closers in this year\'s field. Of them, Pyro and and the Colonel look to be slight underlays but have trhe most potential to upset IMO

I believe this horse had way too much time between races. His maiden score at Churchill was as impressive a score from any two year old, last year. I don\'t think he was ready to roll, in the Illinois Derby and he faced a fresh speed horse, coming out of the one post. Don\'t think he will run a top,but I think his line is explosive, since his last matched his three year first race.

The way he cornered on the turn in his workout this morning reminded me so much of what Borel and Street Sense did last year. If he draws a good post, Borel will get him right onto the rail for a ground saving trip and he can hug the rail all the way around like Street Sense. He\'s very live, one of only a few that I think has a shot in the race.
