Looking at my NYRA calendar I note the following:
On September 27, The Jockey Club Gold Cup (Gr I, 1-1/4 miles, 750K), the
Beldame (Gr I, F/M, 1-1/8 miles, 600K) and the Vosburgh (Gr I, 6 furlongs, 400K)
are scheduled to be run at Belmont.
On the next Saturday (October 4), the Champagne and the Frizette, GR I one mile
events for 2YOs (400K), are scheduled to be run.
Suggestion for NYRA: Raise the purse for each of these races between 250K - 500K
and run these races on BC Day, October 27.

Don\'t see how they can come up with the money. After all, only one bugler on Belmont day..............

The racing industry would frown big time on Belmont doing something like that, but they would get a lot of players who plan on passing on the Breeder\'s Cup on polytrack. When they\'ve all been racing on Poly, one can handicap a race, but bringing horses from all over to race on an this surface is a recipe for paramutual disaster. I have no plan to play the Breeders Cup dirt races.

Poly and Cushion are two completely different surfaces.
Nobody will miss you on Breeders\' Cup Day. I\'ll be at Santa Anita enjoying the day. Wherever you\'ll be, have a glass of whine for me.

I agree there will be chaos in those dirt races but due to the racing fan/Gambler in me I must play. Just attack it differently...No pick six plays on either day. Attack the Turf races and go 4,5 or even 6 horses deep in the dirt races surrounding the turf races in the Pick 3 and Pick 4 bets and hope your bomb wins..
