Title: Who will attack BD first?
Post by: ROBERT49 on May 15, 2009, 04:44:49 PM
I see him running easy for at least 6f. I think whoever goes after him first, goes down with him. If they wait too long to attack him, he might slip waway. Thoughts?

Fawkes is removing the blinkers to try to get him to settle.  Sit behind Rachel?

Don\'t know about Rachel clearing TID,TTP, and several others that have tactical speed inside of her. She\'s not brilliantly gate quick but has powerful cruising type speed.

I\'m thinking a bad trip is equally likely to get her as is the Neg-4 and/or short spacing. If she trips out,it\'s over.

I would be very surprised if Borel is outside more than one around the turn. He is singleminded of purpose when it comes to saving ground.

I agree.

She is laying no worse than second down the backstretch and Gomez will be coming with the heat fairly early.

JB,

I think the worse spot for this long gaited cruising monstress is in behind horses or between horses off the fence.Think the trip she pulled last time is really her best.Borel must have all kinds of confidence in her and will probably be aggressive.

Unless she breaks bad or is REALLY not running, Rachel won\'t be behind anybody. Question is whether she is outide anyone. Race Shapes show her with more speed than BD even when he had blinkers, and BD\'s people might be concerned about the distance and take hold. Prado figures to take hold of TTP because that\'s what he always does. Don\'t know what FF will do-- with all the rail winners today, everyone will want it.

Except Prado.

JB,

I think the long run to the first turn will tempt those outside speeds to go for position. I have the TG without race shapes but would think she is not quicker than BD if both were sent.BD has big sprint gas, Rachel a cruise machine which is why so many feel she would have galloped if she waited for the BELMONT.

I\'m alive for serious money against and hope she gets parked.Much less likely she gets beats if she trips out, pretty average bunch after her.

Hope they let BD go.  I\'m alive and heavy on BD and MM, sprinkling with MTB, POTN,and TTP, saving with RA.

I see RA sitting second outside pace maker BD. Same position as in Oaks.

At the risk of seriously damaging my price, I\'m considering another outcome. With so many of the contenders coming off of big lifetime tops and poised to bounce or sitting on the last leg of an 0 2 X pattern, I\'m looking at a hugely ugly longshot, Terrain. He had that tiny forward move in his last, finally breaking through his 2yo top, which wasn\'t a bad 2yo top at all He\'s rested and going from synthetic to dirt. 24-1 with Jeremy Afleet Alex Rose up. Why not?
