Title: Secretariat
Post by: girly on October 08, 2010, 08:51:04 PM
Watched the premier-it was predictable, of course- more about the owner than the actual horse. There were some cream cheese moments-but there was a charming cameo by the owner of Secretariat near the end. The theater burst into applause, something rarely seen these days! They did a good job of depicting what a remarkable feat his Belmont win was. It was cute-it is a Disney movie after all, but I\'d watch it again.

Watched this the other day.   I don\'t think it was quite as compelling as Seabiscuit, but it was pretty good.   As is normal, they Hollywooded up alot of the facts (Sham won the Wood?  Where\'s that ticket I threw out?), but it is a solid feel-good movie that I would watch again (Will prob get DVD when it comes out).   The Belmont presentation was very good.

Was Pancho Martin\'s english that good back in 1973?

Diane Lane outstanding as usual.

Good Luck,
