Title: Big Top and time off

Want to ask you about a horse running in the 9th Saturday that has run two monster races this year.  The 6 year old paired up a big negative top first out and 2nd out progressed another 3 points.  It\'s been 56 days since that race, is that anywhere near enough time to get over a huge race.  The trainer is good 3rd time off the layoff which is making me consider a pair up.  Any guess on what percentages you would give?  The Thoro-pattern just seems way too optimistic given the big figs.

Thoro-pattern is useless for situations like that. I\'ll save comments about that specific horse for the analysis, but the question is not whether he pairs up, any more than it is with DOJ.
