Full story at bloodhorse.com
Dr. Rick Arthur:
\"There is no evidence whatsoever CHRB rules or regulations have been violated or any illicit activity played a part in the seven sudden deaths,\" the report concluded.
-
Do you believe those seven deaths were random?
-
Hoop,
Cali horsemen dont think so, nor do I,it\'s nearly impossible. Whatever the common thread, Baffert or something else, they could not find it after and extensive investigation. Conspiracy idiots already howling that the truth is being covered up but given the players on the investigative side, not a chance imo.
All the years I\'m around can\'t recall one trainer/owner having that many fatalities over much much longer periods than the Baffert trained runners deaths.

Thanks for answering. Didn’t seem possible for it to be random from what I read. Any thoughts on that thyroid drug they mentioned?
Got to stop those sudden deaths, had a stakes caliber filly that dropped dead in her stall recently, autopsy pointed to a heart problem. Tough game.

The tyhroid drug is widely used, although Baffert reportedly stopped using it.
