Title: derby prep and speed

Excuse me If I am posting an already discussed topic here but i was just wondering for the last 10 Derby\'s how many horses won the derby and posted the fastest time in their preps? I\'m looking at horses who run the fastest in their preps will it carry over to winning the derby? New to the board and not nearly as knowledgeable as most of you so If I\'m posting already discussed or material of no consequence please excuse me.

If you go to the Archives section you will find sheets for past Derbies, which include how fast they ran in preps.
