Anybody know why they allow 14 for the two Juvy grass races at a mile, which start close to the turn, but only 12 for the FM Turf, which has a long run?

Is it because of the possibility of finding a future star so they allow more entrants?

It\'s because 2 yo\'s are smaller (joke).

Perhaps the 1 1/16 races start on the straightaway and the 1 3/16 race starts just inside the turn.

Paolo is correct as they start at the end of the turn and claimed they do not have the needed room for the start if there were 14 horses.

Hindsight being 20/10 1& 1/16 miles for the juvy grass races may have been more equitable. Either way I\'ll be going with Camelot Kitten. Trainer stats for 3rd time 2 year olds = 45% top . Both starts for CK hinting he may prefer expected surface.
