Just guessing here...
« on: November 10, 2016, 12:13:34 PM »
Unless he has changed positions a whole lot since the long ago days when we used to argue political ideology on the Metroliner on the way to Delaware Park, I\'m pretty sure I know one guy pretty happy Trump won. And not because he likes Trump.

He doesn\'t use Robespierre for nuthin\'.

This is not a political post, and we\'re not going to do that here.

The guys who took 150-1, 100-1, 66-1, 50-1 (early) had great foresight.  They knew what time it was.   Eminently hedge-worthy, for size.

But after the second debate, you weren\'t getting fair value, based on the evidence at hand.

What are the odds he finishes his first term? Four year projects aren\'t generally his thing although the wall could keep him entertained for a while. Do you think they\'ll sell ad space on it?

Jerry:

...or, on the other hand, DJT\'s transition team is already working on repealing
the 22nd Amendment, which limits the President to two terms.

My final words: I will be cautiously optimistic. Two Bushes and two Clintons in a
30 or so year cyle is part of what forefathers revolted against, no?

Richie,

Come on.  I almost always agree with you, but not on that post.

The Bushes and the clinton that won were elected by a democracy.  Like them or hate them. No monarchy.

The forefathers were revolting against something far worse.  We could probably get a better perspective on what the forefathers were thinking by asking one.  TGAB?

The Bush/Clinton dynasties were not good but they pale in comparison to Donald Trump. I\'ve known him and his work for a long time. He\'s a repulsive human being.

Hillary\'s track record is not one to really gloat about either.

Jerry, I\'ll \"pivot\" here.

Two graded stakes at AQ Saturday. Any early opinions? Will we be \"betting the
Brown\" (Chad, not Jerry) or \"beating the Brown\"?

For a guy that says he does\'t want politics on this board [YOU] started two threads on the subject. Whatever, dude.

There\'s a difference between discussing your political views, and talking about voting and the election.

Most people here understand the difference. Apparently, you don\'t.
