Claiborne Farms’ RUNHAPPY is getting a never-ending promotional effort on Saratoga television outlets touting him as a sire. Time will tell.

Everywhere you look in the thoroughbred world, it\'s another RUNHAPPY tie-in. It was the RUNHAPPY Metropolitan Handicap. The RUNHAPPY Travers Stakes coming up. RUNHAPPY ads draped all over Del Mar racetrack. And it\'s now officially the RUNHAPPY meet at Kentucky Downs.

You forgot the biggest thing IMO. Next year, winners of MSW at Spa and Del Mar that are offspring of Run Happy get a $100k bonus on top of purse money.

This is not surprising to me as a former resident of Houston Texas. Runhappy is owned by James \"Mattress Mac\" McIngvale who was/is a master promoter of his Houston furniture business and grew it from scratch to a multi-million dollar operation in just a few years. I still have a kitchen table & chairs I bought from him in the early 1990\'s.  Funny thing was that his promotion was that if you buy any \"real wood\" furniture from him, he\'d throw in a real wood major league baseball bat. So the bat I got was an official Rickey Henderson model, the guy who was my least favorite MLB player at the time. I was very disappointed but I still have the bat, but I\'ve let the dogs chew on it over the years.
