Great Weekend
« on: August 09, 2021, 09:34:21 AM »
Good to see several of you and thanks for spending some time chatting and laughing with Nancy and me.  She loved her first trip to Saratoga.  Frank/Bob - you left too early Sunday.  I was buying the drinks on the pik 5...a few were still around, met a few friends at Siro\'s from Gulfstream, and those of you familiar with 10 Palms know Tony, of course.
Best day in may moons.  We\'ll be back soon!

Bill,

Great seeing you again!

And the highlight of the weekend was surely meeting your fiancee Nancy!!
And watching her work the Saratoga Crowd!! LOL

Many congrats!!

Was going to PM you on your late the pick 5 play. Knew you singled Regal Glory and had 1450 FM on the radio as he powered his way to the win. Was not sure you had the Schettino in the finale.

21K is a nice number.

Now you can afford a Yacht on Saratoga Lake rather than Frank\'s kayak at Round Lake.

For me, I needed the 7 or 8 in finale to cash a nice play. Led with one or the other for 15/16th of the Turf Mile but they don\'t pay you for those types of tickets. (Uncle Bill reminded me of that the day before Ha Ha).

Enjoy Delmar and safe travels!!

Bill:

It was great seeing you again and meeting Nancy... Apologies for having to leave early on Friday evening... But it was great seeing you, Belmont Uncle Bill, and of course Frank D.

Looking forward to seeing most all of you folks on Alabama day!

Shanahan,

Congrats on the win. Would love to hear how you came to use the winner in the last. Or did you just go all? That result really miffed me....and as the slowest horse in the race, probably most TG users.

Slow fig perfect trip winners can fool you if you take those races at face value .
No law says they cant go forward off those efforts.  There was some hidden mojo if you\'re observant.  And how hard is it to like something Saez is on at a good price.

Biggest problem is there are often many angle horses in the same race,  so focusing down to one or two is not so easy.

Oh, and PS  The horse got crushed in the exacta , well below the win odds, so apparently someone was not fooled.

Happy to share:  For me, turf racing starts with the $$ winners per start in current year if they\'ve raced 3 times or more, LY if not.  # 2 5 6 were the tops.  Actually a few that were with us had WP on it too.  For $200 which is a lot to me.

Might be a dumb question but do you count $$$ earned on dirt or synth when you do this? For example, horse has 5 starts in 2021 but two were on dirt. DO you attempt to calculate the $$$ earned per start only on grass?

This will be a good test of how much JB has mellowed.
