I couldn\'t help but notice how different the Beyer figs were from the TG figs for some of the Atto contenders. I think Beyer has some real problems with turf figures. Granted, they are tougher to make because there are sometimes fewer races to work with. Plus the pace can have a huge impact, but the Beyers are really somewhat useless at times. You have to either use TG or really dig into the quality of fields and the trips. (or both of course).

There were some enormous differences in a lot of races this weekend-- the Futurity being a prime example. Also, the Kentucky Cup Card featured some extreme differences in the relationship between our Ellis Park figures and other \"major\" circuits that worked out very well.

The futurity and Kentucky Cup sprint were both \"T-Graph\" races.  It was a $250 trifecta in a 6 horse race in the Futurity for the three fastest horses.  I chose the wrong one for my win bet, but they ran easy 1-2-3, even with $77 exacta was \"value\".

In the Kentucky Cup sprint, Cuvee was obviously fastest if he ran back to last year\'s numbers, but Heckle was a throwout on T-Graph numbers and the eventual winner was clearly second best on the T-Graph figures.  The exacta of Cuvee over the winner actually opened at $8, before drifting to $20.  I assumed it was \"sheet money\" when I saw it.  The tricky part was reversing the exacta for less.  I don\'t always do that and I am sure a lot of bettors also don\'t do it when using the favorite on top, but $77 for the two fastest horses in reverse order, in a 5 horse field is a nice payoff.

CH---

For the most part, Beyer\'s turf # \'s are a joke and he\'ll be the first to admit it.

Not sure his staff puts the time into it that they should. Beyer has always said they are nothing more than a guess, and I\'m guessing he has his staff treat them the same way.

Good Luck,
