Is he working on an 0-2-X pattern?

From my experience 02X patterns are rarely successful in the derby. The last one I can remember working might have been Invisible Ink at something like 54-1.

Most derby contenders are coming in with improving patterns. That doesn’t eliminate too many unfortunately. Most are also working well. Ones who aren’t usually run back to their works. Then you just have to find the fastest ones and cast a crazy wide net in the exotics or pray the Mine That Bird types don’t happen. Good luck.

If this horse can improve figure wise I think he has a good shot at hitting the board or even winning. He seems really handy & has a nice turn of foot. Always fond of horses that can maneuver through traffic.

Is he going to improve enough and will he stay 10 furlongs. At 30-1 , a must underneath?
