anybody watch afleet alex

wow!!  that horse can run. a bit wide around the turn, and brushed a bit in the stretch, yet still ran 1:09.5. he finished in just over :12 despite the touble. this is one fast animal. my gut instinct tells me he doesn\'t want 10f, but that matchup with rockport in the rebel is going to be one hell of a horse race.

I agree with you, that I just don\'t think he wants 1 1/4.

Did anybody look at the Kilroe Mile? If you think Leroides is beatable, there is value all over the board.  He hasn\'t tried yielding turf before, any he isn\'t faster than a couple others in here, on T-Graph figures.

I am thinking at 9-1, at the weights, Musical Chimes is worth a play.  If Prado works out a ground saving trip, she could be good enough, especially getting 6 pounds from Leroides.

Bad racing luck on MC.  Never had room until it was too late.  I thought they were going too fast up front, but Leroides never came back to them.  1:33 on \"yielding\" turf!

I had a saver on Buckland Manor.  Also, no room to run.

The odds in the Big race are pretty predictable.  There is value in betting against St. Liam, but there is also value in betting against IMperialism and RHT in the exacta slot behind Liam, if you think he is unbeatabe.  17 and 19 dollars on RHT and Imperialism in the exacta slot.60 with Congrats, 90 with Truly a Judge and 74 with Island Fashion.  All good prices.

Though he lost, Buckland was the better horse today. No doubt about it.

Afleet Alex is just as likely to break down next out as win. He was sporting front wraps for the first time and the dive over to the rail from the middle of the track before the wire, was a thing of beauty.

I wonder how much Michael & Penny Lauer received for \"Snack\" who unfortunately broke down during the running of the Santa Catalina. It\'s a damn shame.

In my world, every horse that spits the bit and then re-rallys like Bandini, gets blood and urine samples tested to the max and frozen for future analysis. This crap has been going on for too long.

Lost In the Fog looked gimpy coming back to the winners circle. I\'m betting Gilcrest et al don\'t fork over the $6k to join the Derby trail.

One things for certain, the winner of this years Ky Derby didn\'t race Saturday afternoon.

May they all come home safely!

Yep, that move that Bandini made was off the wall. I had Keyed BB Best in 1st /2nd in exacta\'s and tri\'e with High Fly and he got me. I thought he was beat top/mid stretch. You hardly ever see that kind of re rally that late. I thought i was a winner but couldn\'t believe what I saw either. Glad I\'m not the only one who thought that about Bandini

Too late Lost in the fog connections said after that race, their putting up the 6k. I bet he\'ll run in the FL Derby next and then on to KY.

I think the Bandini move was an optical illusion, but i\'ll check the charts. High Fly is all out at 9 marks. Thats it there aint no more. BB Best is a Yes its True and he was coming back. Papi Chullo didnt get into the race quick enough. The McPeek horse that skipped the race made a mistake in my opinion.
