Good column.  He\'s right.  If the Street Sense train keeps rolling, the media focus will fall on the jockey in a way that it didn\'t with Smarty, Funny Cide, and War Emblem.  For his own sake I hope that Borel has some judicious handlers/advisors if it comes to that.

Calvin would be well advised to hire some competent legal counsel to read and interpret any contracts placed before him.

However, It\'s rather unfair to refer to Borel as Forrest Gump. Being uneducated is not the same as being retarded. He was intelligent enough to outsmart some of the top riders in the country in the Derby.

So true...Forrest was only mentally challenged.

When I was reading the article and came across the authors\' comparison,I just couldn\'t help but think of the people on this board who would be offended that Borel be compared to one of the greatest fictional characters EVER, to be performed on screen.

ps. I weighed 159 lbs. when that mile was run
