The only boards I can find besides this one feature posters:

A. That are incoherent 99% of the time.
B. That are clones or at least family members of Chuckles the Clown.
C. Do not understand that this sport is a business (Even if some of the decisions are foolish) and not is something that is run for their personal conveniences.
D. That believe that all the things Andy Beyer, Randy Moss, and Hank Goldberg say are pure gold.
E. Any horse that beats the favorite they bet was drugged and the trainer, owner, groom, should be put to death or at least catapulted for beating them. (My point here to clarify is there are bad favorites regardless of what may or may not be going on illegally.  It is the nature of the free market system that certain items will be overvalued.  
F. Oh yeah they are all millionaires from all the money they make on racing.  Except they all bet 3-5 shots. Hmmmm. Barry Meadow wrote an interesting article on this phenomenon in his deceased newsletter that I wish I had not thrown away.  

So yeah your in for a long hard look.  I would think about booking Lewis and Clark to help you in your journey or at least a sherpa.

But I am part of the reason for the dead board, I do not participate as much as I should.

I would like to talk about a mare named Aristie, who was foaled in 1994,
started 6 times, winning 3 of those starts, 2 of them stakes. In 1998, Aristie
produced Stellianos, who won 11 times from 74 starts. In 1999, Aristie produced
Levendis, who won 7 of 74 starts. In 2000, Aristie produced Thanasi, a winner
of 3 of 48 starts. In 2002, Aristie produced Christian X, a winner of 1/11
starts. In 2003, Aristie dropped Phillip X, a winner in 2 of his 27 starts.

On Friday, Alexandros, Aristie\'s foal of 2005, broke his maiden in the second
race at AQ.

Aristie, when bred to six different stallions in New York, produced 6 NYRA
winners.

She will never be considered a \"blue hen\", and no one will mistake Aristie for
Better than Honour, but she has compiled quite an admirable produce record. And
some credit should be given to underrated horseman Del Carroll II for getting
this entire band of brothers to the races and to break their maidens.

You wanna talk HORSES that are running today?

On October 20, Belmont hosted NY Showcase Day, consisting of an entire slate of
NY Bred races. The \"slow rats\" returned for an encore on NY Stallion Series Day
a mere 20 days later on November 10. Sunday\'s card at AQ features more rat
racing, as the final 4 heats on the card are for fillies and mares bred here
in NY. All feature full fields so there is potential for lucrative multi race
gimmickry here.

The feature race is the Montauk, a 9 furlong event which features Ice Cool Kitty
for Prado/ Teflon Tricky Rick Dutrow (who has been sending out winners at AQ at
an alarming 35% rate). ICK is 5/2 ML and will more likely be 6/5 when loaded
into the gate. For those trying to beat Trick and ICK, she does spot between 4
and 10 pounds to her rivals.

The other 3 rat rambles seem to be open events. In the 7th race I personally
have a huge problem because I give a filly who is arguably the slowest in the
race off of her TGs a decent chance to be in the exacta at odds in excess of
her 20/1 morning line.

I was thinking along these lines yesterday- it is nice to hear some discussion about handicapping- I\'m sure you all collectively have a wealth of knowledge and insight into the game that would be greatly appreciated by a newbie like me!
  I was also wondering if the opinions about doping and cheating expressed by those who have some intelligence could be voiced in a public opinion forum. Are there any such things as public hearings set up by state government over site commissions or anything? If there isn\'t, there should be. Contacting state legislators with a well written letter of concern is an option also.
  I guess what I\'m trying to say is that for those who have some real knowledge and concern about this issue, there may be more productive ways of advocating for the sport than responding to the conspiracy theorists on this board.  Though I do understand the need to counteract useless and provocative information.

Aristie and all her sons are from the late M/M Kouray and the Sarris family. Del has trained for them forever... Aristie was a VERY hot-blooded filly and is a mean mare. Her foals have all been a little nuts, starting with Stellianos who Del Carroll wanted to geld early but could not because Mrs. Kouray wanted him whole. Eventually there was no choice. He could have been really good had DWC has his way with him early.

Del was very high on Alexandros coming into the summer and it took him a little longer to break the maiden than they hoped. He is the most pleasant to be around of the Aristie get. Not nearly as surrly as his brothers have been. Believe she is currently i/f to Say Florida Sandy (who the family has a piece of)...

I think Aristie is one of the greatest stories around NY breeding. Levendis and Stellianos faced each other several times, and there have been NYB cards where as many as 3 of her runners have competed the same day.
