Perfect Jock Switch Down The Hill
« on: December 29, 2007, 05:47:39 PM »
Just took Sterling Misty in the 6th at SA knowing the jock switch from Court to Mike Smith would put her somewhere in the Grandstand swinging for home, on and off the dirt, down-the-hill.

Smith did one better, looping the outer Grandstand only to return to the course some where in mid-stretch to be up by a nose.

Logic Question:

Royal Humor (3-1) with a 13 and 12 on turf.
Sterling Misty (14-1) with a 12 on turf.

Who do you bet???

I had same thoughts....and for another handicapping piece of advice, was one of only two runners with downhill experience (2yo\'s and firsters) seeing the dirt track for the first time usually do something strange. Play of the day in my opinion!

Thorograph said he was the fastest down-the-hill turf horse in the race.

Kurt Hoover and Peter Lurie said on National TV there was nothing to like about the horse all.

Thanks from me to all three of them..............
