Looks normal for a hoof with a repaired quarter crack, Halo. He\'s got feet that need to be held together (and I\'m surprised nobody has yet talked about if this type of farrier skill is \"performance enhancing\", and should horses be allowed to race with this help, or should it be banned? )
I wouldn\'t read anything into the talk about when to put the patch on (Friday vs. Saturday). As long as the on-track observers say he\'s going well, I wouldn\'t worry about it.
