where\'s Clearly Foxy? how many graded stakes winners did she beat last out? that American Oaks is turning out to be a pretty solid key race.

CF came out of the race with a minor injury that didn\'t require surgery, but did require time-- she\'ll be back next year.

And yeah, I was growling watching the Del Mar Oaks...

     I agree 100%.  she put on about a 100lbs since the del mar oaks. she was a tired horse and needed more time.  Unfortunately the condition book doesn\'t allow my input.
     she is really looking great and training great.  While many are concerned with her ability to get a mile and an 8th i\'m not at least from a pedigree standpoint.  she\'s out of a pleasant colony mare who\'s dam was out of an el gran senor mare both stayers.  while 8 weeks was nice to freshen her I am concerned that she would be fit enough to get the 1 1/8.
    I do think she is the speed of the race and even something tries to push her she settles very nicely.
I\'m looking for a big effort.  If she runs anywhere\'s close to her top she can win easily.  I don\'t expect her to run a neg 4 but if she runs a 2 or 3 she\'s easily the winner.
