Sloppy Fairgrounds
« on: March 15, 2009, 09:11:06 AM »
Hello everyone,

I\'ve been using the Thorograph sheets for a couple of weeks now and I find them to be very useful and helpful. I won\'t look at a race without them.

Since using them, my win% (I bet partial wheel exactas) has increased significantly. Honestly, I don\'t know how I ever hit a race without them.

I entered a local Handicapping contest(my first) here in Chicago yesterday and placed 8th out of 20. I learned a lot about wagering strategy in contests and should \"move forward next time out:)\"

Anyway, I knew it was going to be a tough day for me because of the 6 contest races, 4 were at the sloppy/yielding Fairgrounds course. If there wasn\'t a contest I would have passed every race.

I was able to call a winner in Coy Cat, but was a little confused on how to apply the data to an off track.

Are there any general rules of thumb other than looking at the off track data for the trainer/jock/sire?

Thanks.

First of all, what off tracks do is increase randomness. But I would also look at the dam side data, and obviously, past figures of the horse in question on off tracks.
