Big Drama bounced big time off a negative 2 with more rest than he gets coming into the WV Derby. He also looks like a sprinter to me. I think 9F is out of his reach and he will be a very short priced 2nd favorite (7-5). If I were going to bet this race, I think a bet on the Woodbine shipper (toss the turf race, nice pattern otherwise) to win and a saver exacta with MTB on top presents the best value in a 6 horse field. Big Drama 3rd for the trifecta.

I think both Woodbine horses (Awesome Rhythm and Monty\'s Best) are worth a shot at the price and will play in the pick 3.

Awesome Rhythm\'s only try on dirt was a new top at the time against QR,TGJOJO and Obligingly.

TG Analysis is on the money IMO..  Big Drama should be your key.  

It\'s f1ar too premature to say this horse can\'t get 9 furlongs.  He\'s ran 1 1/16 in line with his sprints as a 2yo.  He\'s got a legitimate excuse for the Preakness as he was coming off an injury and also had a rough night in the stables and the gate.   Maybe MTB money can push him up to 2-1, he looks like one of the top dogs here.   The horse ran 4s at 1 1/16th as a 2 yo, I think it\'s foolish to write off his chances to run a 0 or better as a 3 yo.

Tough to leave out MTB of course.. will be throwing in Soul Warrior and Monty\'s Best to get into the exotics.  Both look primed for forward moves.    Not impressed with Awesome Rhythm like some of you guys are.

A very interesting call on the VD. While I might not be as confident about the outcome, I would be more interested in the surface. Mountaineer can be a heavy track and if it\'s slow (though they will try to speed it up) or slower enough, Mine that Bird gets an edge.

A few times I have mentioned that track biases and idiosyncracies are so critical, and while I understand TG does not do your handicapping for you, I would like to see a mention at least in this forum of the effect of the move to the Mountain.

(When I think Coal Mining country, I think Mine that Bird. If it were the Big Apple, I would think Big Drama. Now that\'s an example of adding real depth--lol).
