Sheet for Arcangues?

1993 was before my Thorograph time - and not even sure there were any Euro numbers for him -  but I am curious what his sheet looked like.  Any chance you can post it assuming there were numbers prior to the Classic?  Thanks.

He was way slow on grass, first time dirt, by memory.Don\'t think we have his euro figures in the data base.

You mean the one that correlates to the growing trend of you exaggerating about the growing trend of complaining about jockey\'s rides in the ROTW?

I work for my g-d money, so yeah, it stings when I get that kind of effort, and sure, I get pissed and complain about it. You can keep your smug comments about how others handle defeat to yourself.

Yes. First time dirt. A 5YO with a record of 4-2-2 out of 15 starts on turf, mostly at Longchamp, but he also raced twice in the Eclipse at Sandown Park. He won the G1 Prix d\'Ispahan in May of his BC year, and had some other good placings (the pps I have - nice to have an attic! - include from August of his 3YO season), always running in top notch races, but running clunkers about half the time. He was a non-factor in his last two races leading up to the Classic.

I remember Fabre explaining afterwards that they ran him in the Classic because he was a horse who had back trouble that was exacerbated by the up and down hills of European racetracks (such as Longchamp and Sandown). And, because the BC was at Santa Anita in 1993, that meant that the Turf would start off on the downhill chute so Fabre was inclined to run him on the dirt instead. Though he broke from the 13, Bailey, who had read the tote board, tried to go 1W the whole way and succeeded. Great call by Durkin.

You have a terrific memory.  The horse had back trouble, which is almost the worst kind of problem they can have.

Of course, with Fabre training and Bailey riding it should have been a no brainer...I remember saying \'no chance\' in spite of these connections because there was no action on the horse.
