For those of you who have not had the pleasure to meet the man, I would say no one knew. He is as approachable and affable person you will ever meet. He is a regular in Floral Park watering holes but is not a big drinker. I once told him that his call of the Personal Ensign Breeders Cup win over Winning Colors was the best call of all time and he told me all of the winners on the card as if it happened yesterday! In my mind he will always be the greatest racecaller of all time and I hope this decision helps him to live a longer, happier life
