Loss of Slot Revenue

I know that most recent posts have been concentrated on the KY Derby, but the loss of slot revenue for Canadians starting in 2013 is the start of significant contraction/consolidation for this industry.  PA is heading for similar fate, and NY is not too far behind - there have already have been preliminary discussions about reducing NYRA\'s slots take.

Many States looking at redirecting racing subsidies to the general State fund.Just about every smaller venue,presently supported by subsidies, will go bust if subsidies taken away.

New Jersey Racing in dire straits going forward with no subsidies and NYRA lurking close by with monster purses.
