Devil In The Details
« on: November 04, 2013, 04:52:17 PM »
Cuomo\'s stooges at the NYS Gaming Commission today stated that going forward NYRA can expect to receive \"no less\" than an amount equal to the 2013 slot subsidy,if/when the NY Casinos open.

Not addressed is what will be done to make up the certain shortfall from the NYRA betting handle resulting from gambling dollars being redirected to the casinos, instead of the betting windows.

Stated by one politically appointed stooge \"Racing will have to just compete to maintain or grow it\'s handle\" BRILLIANT!!...like racing has a shot to compete with comped rooms, dinners, transportion, and maybe hot and cold running blonds for the high rollers!

maybe it will put pressure on the tracks to stop charging an arm and a leg.prices at Arlington are ridiculous. 4 bucks a hot dog 4 bucks for a soda, just stupid to think u can compete charging these outrageous prices.
