Since I wasn\'t able to get anything concrete on the pedigree/distance ability thing, let me try something else.

Over the years you have voiced opinions based on visual observations (won\'t pass horses, loses ground in stretch, etc.). Can you remember the ones you talked about here? Was there correlation with how they ran?

I have trouble remembering what I ate for breakfast.

The classic \"wrong\" statement by me was super saver.  Watched him hang like a chandelier in the Arkansas derby to a slug, line of David or something like that.  But got a great ride and wet track and I was \"wrong\" in the derby.

Today\'s Illinois derby was another classic.  Anybody with any horse racing sense at all should NOT care heat figure u give midnight hawk.  He proved AGAIN he doesn\'t want to go beyond a mile.  Lugging in and looking for a place to lie down in the stretch. Hung in to lose a photo, but was 2-5!!   He can\'t be bet beyond 1 mile. Doesn\'t matter to me what figured give him.  If u give him a \"3\" I would have no problem betting him to win at a mile, even if he needed a 1. But would expect him to run a 5 or much worse in the derby, if he had run. (Hence my comment about taking Artie vs him)
