ROTW--The Forego Stakes

The ROTW will be The Forego Stakes, race 10 at Saratoga on Saturday 8/30/14. It\'ll be up Friday afternoon.

At 7f, I suspect that Palace is more likely to react off 3 big efforts than Clearly Now, who is more than a deserving favorite to pair up. Confrontation looks most likely to run a new top. He has a versatile running style that should allow him to save some ground. The price is right.

I agree with paolo on his analysis. Some additional thoughts. Clearly now is better suited for 7f as well where palace does his best running at 6f. Confrontation with back to back negative numbers under a hand ride could threaten. Has only raced 7 times with only 4 on dry dirt and his best may still come. Sire however doesn\'t improve that much from 3 to 4 so that is a negative but at the price I\'m willing to take a shot and protect with the 2 faves. He Moves in one spot from the scratch so ground loss not as much of a factor. Don\'t see anyone else besides palace, clearly and confrontation that will run a negative number enough to be competitive. Big business is a 6yo that had one isolated number. Too much of a reach for me to play. GLTA
