Who's going to the Derby?

For those pondering the fate of Eddington, Rock Hard Ten, or other horses with graded earnings issues, here\'s a link to a story on bloodhorse.com that gives the current status (going, not going, uncertain) for the top 52 horses on the money list:

I heard Action This Day was going depending upon how he comes out of his last race.

The Lexington will add a new name to the list I believe unless Saratoga County wins. If he does, my guess is he\'ll be going though his breeding looks a little suspect. But if he runs bang up, why not go? I mean you\'ve got leading contenders bred by Pulpit, Elusive Quality, Grand Slam, Smoke Glacken, Gulch (I know he sired a Derby winner), Carson City. This is the year of the speed oriented sire.

CtC wrote and then post edited and edited and edited. LOL

\"This is the year of the speed oriented sire.\"

Get used to it my friend, started with War Emblem (Our Emblem)and Proud Citizen (Gone West)and continued with Funny Cide (Distorted Humor) and at Peace Rules (Jules).

Better adjust that resevoir of pedigree handicapping knowledge of yours.

The Empire Maker types are a thing of the past.

I liked War Emblem and Funny Cide...lol

I don\'t think I\'ve seen a year like this though. Theres a lot of speed type pedigree. I\'m suprised Tapit won as late in the year at 9 marks as he did. So believe me I know...lol

But thx
