Arlington Million Post-Race Analysis

TGJB: I would appreciate a post-race analysis on the Arlington Million. Did the Euros run new tops? Did the Americans, save possibly Kicken Kris, all X? Based on the figures going in, it seems like it would be difficult to make sense of the figures for this one. Would like to hear your thoughts.

Assuming the figures are right, then I can only think it could be the ground loss deductions that flatter the Americans. I remember well Islington going three wide in the Irish Champion Stakes. Was that in the figure? I don\'t think so.

that would really depend on what figures you were looking at.

Safely assume TG figs. Do you have different figs?

Chalk it up to first time Lasix. Users nabbed 1st and 3rd finishing positions in both the Bev D. and the Million. You just can\'t predict which horses it will improve and by how much.

Sketchy DQ in the Million. Looked like the 10 was clear.

agree on the lasix issue, however the euros were quality to begin with, and the bev d winner kept some excellent company.
not trying to make either race out as a cinch, however, as they were both very deep and competitive fields.
matz was an overlay in the million, but not a huge one, due to the quality of the field.
I thought he was the best of the americans, but there were a few other similar priced winners on the 3 tracks I played that had far less competition.
I played a little on him to win, just to back my opinion, but I pretty much laid off the race, outside of multirace gimmicks.
