I think #7 - Smart Choice merits a little attention at 30/1.

If Pletcher and Lasix are each worth a point, she\'s well within get-a-lucky-trip range. Further, running lines indicate she has shown some early foot, at least by Argentine standards.

Hey, I\'m a sucker for foreign girls.

Classico Pamploma --> in Peru.  A couple of observations: It was cool/cold, the track was dry and fast, this horse can finish and 2:00.8 is a good clip for a 1+1/4 in either hemisphere.

Your girl lost a lot of ground in this race. It\'s a bit tricky to follow her trip. She broke well from the far outside and tucked in a bit in a crowded field to be probably 5 wide in turn #1. It doesn\'t appear as if the concept of ground loss has taken hold in Lima. Then she shuffled back the 1st half of the backstretch before launching a Monarchos move at the end of the backstretch and just kept passing horses looking a little like Goldikova late.
