JB any idea/opinion on what caused Altissimo to jump up and get really fast last year ....and remain that way. Nothing stands out on the TG\'s. I know you mentioned the sire profile. His sire shows 2 pt improvement from 4 to 5yo. Isn\'t that the usual for most? Thanks

Noble Causeway runners develop on average 1-3/4 points at age 5 & up, and that is fairly unusual. His get improve 9 points from age 2 through age 5 & up and that\'s VERY unusual. Most sires pass along precocity, the ability to run fast at ages 2, 3 and 4 and total development is 6 points or less with minimal improvement after age 4. So his runners, slow at 2, do get a lot faster as they age.

Start eyeballing the sire stats, the TGI development in age rows. You\'ll get a feel for sires and where their runners may fit.
