Redboarding Pa. Drby
« on: September 07, 2004, 11:08:03 AM »
I guess I should have put more stock in the Dutrow running at Philly \"look the other way\" Park. ( By the way Dutrow had a small $2,000 win and $2,000 place wager which should easily take care of this month\'s higher than usual vet bill).

My buddy was at the rail and his observations were that Albarado was still motionless in the stretch and \'MONEY had  eyes bulging similar to Ralph Kramden when suddenly awoken by gunshots in Norton\'s late late late show.

Good Luck,
joe B.

Joe B,

I saw the race.  Albarado wasn\'t motionless, he was riding the horse.  As a matter of fact, he drifted a bit and Robbie had to straighten him out.

As for Dutrow, if you really believe that, then why didn\'t you take 13 to 1 on his horse?  There was a long trail of postings on the PA Derby thread.  None of them had the winner.  Plenty of Snookie\'s Boy, Pies Prospect and Pollard\'s Vision, but none about the winner.

If EVERYBODY knows he is cheating, then why isn\'t EVERYBODY smart enough to blindly bet his horses whenever they are a reasonable price, which 13 to 1 was. (I didn\'t like the horse myself, so I am not redboarding)

I don\'t know.  The horse figured.  Dutrow loads them up pretty good in New York \"What the Hell is Going on\" City, so I\'m not sure Philly has anything to do with it either.  It\'s a pain to try to handicap around this stuff.  HP

Jimbo66---

Why not blindly bet all his horses???

Perhaps for the same reason that steroids may help Barry Bonds hit 73 homers but would not help you or I hit one.

Good Luck,
Joe B.
