TIMELY WRITER
« on: September 29, 2004, 08:55:29 AM »
Masterful job by Tim Ritchey yesterday getting TIMELY WRITER to win the 6th race at Delaware off of a 22 year layoff.

Ritchey exhumed his carcass from the Belmont infield several weeks ago, put 2 sharp breezes into the gutsy gelding and had him razor sharp for his return.

It\'s amazing what these Delaware Valley trainers can do.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Who could forget that world class breeding

Staff Writer - Timely Roman by Setto Belle.  Cashed a bet on him when he shipped in to NY (SAR I think) after winning a 2YO stake at Suffolk.  I was a senior in high school then, and was making speed figures for most of the eastern tracks at that time as there was no other way to get a handle on shippers.  But my favorite that year was his frequent victim Tap Shoes.

Boy I feel old...

I missed it.  And I love the 1st time exhumed, 22 year rest angle.

It\'s the nutrition program. Sometimes they just need a little time to get used to it.
