Did not see the race but High Fly sounded impressive. Any of those horses potential derby horses? Deputy Indy flopped but Magna Graduate ran pretty well. It seems like the ROTW was pointing towards him as a sleeper if he keeps heading in the right direction. Honor Grades and derby sire do not fit for me.

I could be mistaken JEB, but i think Honor Grades is a half to A.P. Indy and Summer Squall. I\'d have to check.

I seem to remember him being trained by Rodney Rash who was a young assistant to Whittingham, before goin out on his own. Rash had a big future in my opinion, but he passed away suddenly from a blood infection of some sort.

I was surprised High Fly didn\'t go off the favorite. After the race I was kicking myself for not betting him. He had the clear cut top figure, was winning easily, and had already beaten winners. I guess I was so focused on the main event I allowed a reasonable bet to slip through the cracks. It was visually impressive, but there wasn\'t too much quality in there. The favorite was a maiden graduate who wasn\'t even that fast and the rest weren\'t much. So I\'d say he\'s good, but not quite as good as it looks on paper. We\'ll see how fast the race comes back.

you are correct about honor grades being a sibling to ap indy and summer squall. I guess i am looking at honor grades(danzig is his sire) as a turf sire. I cannot think of a great dirt horse out of honor grades. I am sure i am forgetting someone though. Honor Glide is the horse that comes to mind for me.

Your right, he wasn\'t a monster at stud, he\'s gone now, but all you have to look for is one that runs and then you can look at the pedigree. Here\'s one he got that wasn\'t bad on dirt:
