Now that we have been treated to a Derby wire job, how have the previous Derby winners that wired their fields fared in the Preakness?

I don\'t think Spend a Buck ran back which was the first time i\'ve ever seen that happen .I seem to recall that he was lured away because of a bonus .The Triple Crown sponsors then put together a papackage to rival that ,so as to avoid any future defections .Winning Colors I don\'t think ran too well ,Slew wired them again ,Bold Forbes ran 3rd then rebounded to wire the Belmont.

Winning Colors ran a huge Preakness and was done in by the pace.

at least she finished third, after dueling with forty-niner, who finished seventh.
