Why would you work a 4F BOM if you were going into the Belmont?

The 5 weeks in between certainly give him time to catch up.

You would think Tagg would like the extra week (Ohio Derby is on 5/31) for a colt who did not get back to working for 17 days.

This may all be moot, but not for TOE going to Ohio. It may be that he\'s going to be facing not one, but two freaks in New York.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

What is a BOM workout?

And exactly what is wrong with this 4f work almost three weeks out from the Belmont?

Best of Morning. It\'s a mile and a half race. Why would you sharpen the horse\'s speed? It does make sense if they are going to the Ohio Derby at a mile and an eighth.

Gotcha.

We will see, but I would more concerned if this was his last work, but there is still almost three weeks to go before the race.
