ROTW-Oaklawn Hdcp: Time ?
« on: May 29, 2008, 09:01:27 PM »
There appears to some uncertainty to the correctness of the final time for the Oaklawn Handicap in the ROTW.

Was your own individual timing of the race significantly different and if so how much? Was it the issue with the Oaklawn Handicap Time. On the surface it looks about right for that class of horses.

\"Time?\" means we used our time, not the teletimer (when there\'s a discrepency you can usually tell which is right by the horses). In this case we got the race 3/5 slower than the published time (and you will note that they did not publish fractions for the race, so something probably went wrong).

Have enough stats been accumulated to form any opinions on how some of the CA horses that \"moved up\" when switched to dirt did when they returned to Cushion, Poly etc....?

Not yet. I did note that some did not move up (Colonel John paired his top), and others bounced even on dirt (Gayego), but we\'re far from having enough data to form solid opinions.

Tiago and Heatseeker have a good chance to back up from their last on any surface.
