Goldmark is a training center in Ocala that has a Polytrack. John Kimmel recommended it to me. We were very happy with how Kinsella trained there.
The colt suffered a minor setback last spring after a fast half-mile work on a deep Oklahoma track and pulled his suspensory ligament away from the bone.
Kinsella spent several months swimming and jogging at KESMARC near my office in Versailles, spent a couple of months training at Goldmark and this morning had his first breeze for Todd Pletcher.
We are hopeful of racing him at the end of next month at Gulfstream.
The trainer at Goldmark told me that his last breeze, a half in :47 2/5 and out five-eighths in 1:00 and change, was as fast as horses go on his three-quarter mile track.
The colt is magnificent looking and apparently has some talent.
After another workout or so I guess I better announce that the Prix de l\'Arc de Triomphe is our major goal for the season, especially if they decide to shorten it from 12 to 8 furlongs!
