Bailey on Domestic Dispute
« on: February 24, 2003, 11:50:16 PM »
I was waiting to see which other Baffert runner Bailey would jump on after Vindication went down and I was crossing my fingers that it would be Domestic Dispute who he would fit perfectly. I figured that Baffert would have to tip his hand pretty soon as to who he thinks is his best Derby hope.

Looks like Domestic Dispute may not be the third stringer in the barn any more.

Makes me a feel a little better about my Future book wager. Of course, things can change very quickly on the Derby trail...

Chris--

Two things--

1) Baffert is on record as having to be careful with Domestic Dispute, as he is apparently a horse who loses considerable weight after his races, perhaps indicative of a horse who struggles to maintain his form...

2) On a karma front, I truly do struggle to get past the idea that Baffert can win ANOTHER Derby a year after the last-minute miracle with War Emblem.

But good luck to you.
