so far speed is holding. Haven\'t seen the races just going by the charts.

Chalk is holding too, doesnt seem like any \'collapse\' factor on this track as of yet.

Many times, when a horse goes really fast on the front end, and the track is kind of deep and tiring, and the pace presser zooms by and wins for fun, the speed horse won\'t hold 2nd. In the 7th at CD, not only did the pace horse hold 2nd, but it wasnt even close. Tracks with \'normal\' biases don\'t play like that. Cheap speed can get pressed hard in fast fractions, and still hang around for a piece.

Im not sure what is \'up\' with this Churchill surface, but it seems like a superhighway and that\'s normally not conducive to boxing up the entire field and praying for 3 bombs to run 1-2-3.

There has always been some reason that track superintendents \'soup up\' the track for big days.....maybe they think \'fast times\' will attract new fans and make bettors want to bet more?

I know personally, i\'m looking to bet LESS. Give me the dead rail Churchill any day over this stuff.

Plastic - I\'m not watching the races so I looked at the charts on Equibase.  The route races do not look like they are being run on any kind of \"superhighway.\"

Winner of the first came from off the pace and wide.

Maybe that\'s why Hansen looks like the wise guy horse, 2nd choice at 7-1.
