The Mad Bomber comes and goes in NY for the past 15-20 years.If its the same guy,Richie, a stone sucker who bets 10-15k first flash on a very short priced horse. His theory was that he could end up getting a better final price by dissuading others off the overbet horse.

just so you know, this is in  the exacta pool. the $ amount is right in that range, so maybe he has a new get rich quick scheme.

Computer guys come in late usually when software spots what it perceives to be inefficiencies in the exacta payoffs.

Right. Those programs need to see odds to find what their handicappers see as overlays, can\'t go in early.

 most of the big bets had been  coming in very late, but these guys are betting after the \'publics\' odds are known, but early enough to \'scare off\' other value seeking programs.

 seeing some very out of whack numbers because of this.
