Not a single runner with a Beyer in the 80\'s and the race is classified as a Grade One? 5 of the 11 runners are Maiden and one other has run 7 times with one win to his credit. GARBAGE!! Surely there are some better horses stashed away in the better barns to develop later and for next spring. But right now this resembles a bad 2YO Stakes at Delaware Park.
It is a gambling event however so one feels compelled to place a wager. Dance with Fate has some seasoning, showed speed teo back, trouble in last and blazing drill on the 17th. Cost $120K at OBS in April so sonebody saw something in a pedigree fit for Puerto Rico.
I remember when Chiefs Crown, Gulch and Capote used this race a springboard to the Breeders Cup and Juvenile Title. There are no Chiefs Crown, Gulch or Capotes in here....rest assured.
