In California, the only thing the stewards are interested in is -- did a perceived infraction cost a horse a placing. I don\'t think the 10 (Danderek) lost a placing but possibly the 6 (Botch) did. They dead heated. I had all 3 of them and the dead heat with the 2 horses returned exactly the same amount as if the initial winner prevailed so I am not biased. If Botch was a clear 2nd -- they may have left the winner alone. Always a shame when a clearly best horse is taken down.
