Not sure if this link is posted properly but if it is, this is why they paid so much money for this horse as a yearling

Look at the siblings deeper in the pedigree

Student Council (JB, you know that one at all?)

Don\'t Get Mad

None of this means the horse is going to win but this is the kind of stuff I have been taught to look for in a pedigree to judge classic distance ability

I am sure others in the race have nice deep pages as well, I was just posting this as an example of how some people approach pedigree analysis

Wish HRRN had there interview with Jerkins in their archive.

Horse may be the best of the crop, but will likely leave his race somewhere between barn and the starting gate.  

Hates the gate, gets worked up around crowds, didn\'t like the GP kickback, etc, etc...

Jerkins worried a lot about post one in the wood, and had Rajiv and the asst starter hold his head to the infield so he wouldn\'t see the other horses loading or anticipate the start.  Straightened him up just before the bell.  Then he was a mess in the lane looking at the gate.

A lot has to not go wrong for him...

He\'s a late April foal so some of this makes sense
