He picks 14th and still make out
« on: April 28, 2004, 05:01:27 PM »
14th pick in the draw and he couldn\'t be sitting much better. Limehouse might push him early now because they have to leave from the one but given picking 14th going inI still feel Lion Heart came out of the draw the best. He won\'t be 10-1. I LOVE this horse!

This horse will not be unchallenged.  I see Limehouse, and especially Quinton\'s GR pressing hard.  What else can you do from the 20 hole?

Biancone selected the 3 hole in a 20 horse field? My mojo is good.

Limehouse??? He tried that move once against LH and he got cooked. He\'s better off stalking. QGR? From the 20 hole???? Not in this lifetime!!

Jerry, if you draw a triangle fron the rail out to the 20 post down to the first turn, how much farther dose QGR have to run than Lion Heart to the first turn?

Pretty easy math.

And you thought that high school geometry was a waste of time.

Making some not so educated assumptions :

Distance from the gate to the turn  = 1/4 mile = 1320\' = Lion Hearts distance.

Distance between #3 and #20 = 6\' x 17 = 102\'

Do some simple (a)(a) + (b)(b) = (c)(c) and the distance QGR will run = 1324\'

He\'ll run an extra 4\'.

In spite of that small difference,  QGR will still not beat A horse.

Sayonara Rion

They set Beyers interview back. Oh well, maybe he\'ll have a better opinion Friday...lol

Quinton will not beat \"A\" horse as in any horse?  lol  Maybe..but he will be forced to use his speed to get position and I think Limehouse will too. Any plans to rate Limehouse got impacted a bit by the draw. Quinton came from outside in the San Rafael. This race is another quarter mile and I don\'t believe they will run a sub 47 second half, but I also don\'t think thats gonna matter to Rion Hart. Worst case scenario he\'s gonna get enough pressure that come stretch time I think we\'ll see his limitations again.

Anything can happen in any race but the least bit of gate or traffic mishap here and Rion is probably sayonara to the exotics. I\'m sensing a problem with Friends Lake who broke like a rocket last. The Voodoo clown has spoken.

Thanks, I knew the math just didn\'t know the distances.

No problem.
As I said, I made some guesses but the bottom line is that the distance is pretty negligible,  though a triangle assumes a point at the end,  and in order for him to make the lead and be the \'point\', he will have to fly.

And yes, QGR will beat no horses.  Dead last.
Distanced.

Thats a bold prediction pgsheet and I respect it. You\'ve got an added ten pounds, an added several paths wide, an added 3/16\'s and an added idiot. So I see your point. The horse has some talent but he\'s been forced into a tough situation to overcome.

The math may work in theory, but he still has to clear 19 horses.  It will take him more than a stride or two to get into position.
